Linda Rorie, 65, of Van Buren, Crawford County, Arkansas passed away at her home Sunday morning January 12, 2014. She was born Linda Sue England on Febraury 12, 1948 in Batesville, Arkansas, to Gene and Alma (Gist) England. On January 20, 1967 she married the love of her life, Kenneth Rorie at Asbury Methodist Church in Batesville, Arkansas. Linda and Kenneth were blessed with two children, Elizabeth Petray of Van Buren and Christopher Rorie of Driggs, Idaho. They were also blessed with four grandsons, Andrew and Austyn Rorie and Connor and Chandler Petray. The Grandsons loved their Nana.
Linda was an educator in Arkansas public schools retiring in 2001 as principal at City Heights Elementary in Van Buren. She loved her kids and was a devoted parent and grandmother. She was dedicated to her church and to helping others. She was loved by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and only sibling, Jimmy England. She is survived by her husband, daughter, son and four grandsons, sister-in-law Mollie England, and son-in-law Frank Petray.

Memorial service will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Heritage United Methodist Church in Van Buren with a private graveside service Friday, January 17, 2014 at Kyler Cemetery in Independence County, Arkansas under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
